What makes our products special
Our products are not defined by promises, but by their origin and the way they are made. Here we explain what that means in practice.
We use plants from our own gardens and wild meadows and process them in small batches using traditional methods.
The production and quality of our products are monitored by us as well as by the organic certification body “Vides Kvalitāte” and the Latvian Food and Veterinary Service.
Herbal Tinctures
What makes AnnA Bergmans tinctures special?
They are produced according to old traditions—through slow, natural maceration using freshly wilted herbs.
How does this work?
Freshly harvested plants from our own gardens are gently air-dried only slightly, and only during the appropriate lunar phases, in order to preserve their valuable active compounds as effectively as possible.
They are then macerated for over one month (and in the case of Roseroot, up to three months!) in containers with organic ethanol. During this time, the health-relevant plant compounds are slowly and gently transferred into a 45% alcohol–water solution.
The result:
The plant extracts obtained in this way are absorbed already in the mouth—in small amounts, but quickly and efficiently. This is exactly how plant extracts have always been prepared in our family, and we are proud to continue this tradition.
Tinctures are one of the most effective ways to take in valuable natural compounds on a daily basis for well-being and health—naturally in combination with a balanced diet.

Herbal Teas
Why do we love herbal teas so much?
They connect us with the power of nature, support our health, and bring a sense of well-being. Our winters are long—this is why in every Latvian country home there is always a kettle of herbal tea simmering on the stove.
What makes AnnA Bergmans teas so special?
Creating a refined yet healing herbal tea blend is a long and demanding process. All herbs come exclusively from our certified organic gardens and meadows.
No exotic ingredients of unknown origin or questionable quality.
The plants are harvested by hand, carefully sorted, and thoughtfully selected. Some of the herbs—especially apple and cherry leaves—are fermented. This not only creates a particularly pleasant flavor but also improves the bioavailability of the active compounds.
Apple and cherry leaves also naturally contain small amounts of amygdalin (often referred to as vitamin B17).
Preparation:
Add one tablespoon of herbs to a glass teapot—and you will receive a true work of natural art made of leaves and blossoms that smells and tastes like summer.
Everything is handcrafted—this is why we produce these exclusive teas only in limited quantities.
The main ingredient in many of our teas is Roseroot—the plant of longevity and well-being that supports us in almost every phase of life.
The power of our beloved plants—for your well-being.
On behalf of the entire team,
Zane

Lady’s mantle
Lady’s mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) is one of those plants to which we owe the fact that we are here today. Our distant great-great-great-grandmothers knew how to use lady’s mantle correctly. It is no coincidence that this plant is dedicated both to the pagan Latvian goddess Māra and to the Virgin Mary. Lady’s mantle helped women survive, eased childbirth, and helped them remain strong and pretty even in later life. It is truly a woman’s herb.
